Albuquerque International Sunport is a full-service airport that welcomes more than six million travelers each year. Located four miles from Downtown Albuquerque, the International Sunport is the largest airport in the state of New Mexico, and offers arrival and departure flights to most major U.S cities and international destinations. Eight airlines service the sunport, and non-stop services are available to 39 cities. Southwest Airlines is the biggest carrier at Albuquerque International Sunport, and more than half of all daily flights are serviced by this airline.

In the late 1990's, the International Sunport underwent a major expansion project, and currently features one Main Terminal and 23 gates on two concourses: A and B. Passengers can benefit from several airport amenities such as banking services, restaurant and beverage establishments, and retail shops. Albuquerque International Sunport also features several collections of cultural art pieces displayed throughout the Main Terminal.
