Public/Ground Transfer

Local bus route 900 services the Birmingham City Center and operates every 20-30 minutes. Bus and rail times and fares can be found at Bus Schedule or by calling 0870 608 2 608. Trains depart from Birmingham International Rail Station, which is two minutes from the airport by the free air-rail.

Airport Shuttles

The airport offers a free Air-Rail Link shuttle, which connects the two terminals in Birmingham International Airport with the Birmingham International Station, half a kilometer away. From that station, rail services to Birmingham City Center and London Euston station are available. The air rail runs between 5:15am and 2am.

Taxi Services

Taxis are available 24 hours a day outside the passenger terminals. They do not have to be pre-booked, though you will want to do so if you are traveling from a rail station. The larger rail stations have taxi stands, but some do not. Taxis usually carry up to 5 people, though some may carry 6 passengers or accommodate those in wheelchairs. Fares are metered for destinations in Birmingham and Solihull, with small surcharges for additional passengers and luggage. Typical fare to the city center is £16.
