Sky Harbor is conveniently located just a few miles from downtown Phoenix, so getting to and from the airport is a breeze. There are several transportation options, including airport shuttle buses, rental cars, taxis and limos, vans and buses, and statewide shuttle services.

Car Rental

A dozen rental car companies operate out of Sky Harbor International Airport. All rental car companies, their counters, and cars are located in the Rental Car Center, 1805 E. Sky Harbor Circle South. There is a Rental Car Shuttle pick up area outside the baggage claim area where free shuttle buses take passengers to the center. Shuttle buses also transport back to the airport once you've dropped off your rental car.

Public/Ground Transfer

There are several other transportation services that serve Sky Harbor International Airport, including scheduled vans, public transportation, and dial-a-ride services.

Scheduled Vans

SuperShuttle (602-244-9000) operates door-to-door airport service all day every day. Departures run every 15 minutes between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.; if you're traveling after 9 p.m., you should contact the company for departure times. Fares vary and depend on distance from the airport.

Public Transportation

Phoenix's Valley Metro public transportation system runs buses to and from the airport (as well as throughout the Phoenix area). The Red Line and Bus #13 provide lift-equipped service. Regular bus fares are $1.25. For schedules and routes, call 602-253-5000 or visit www.valleymetro.org.

Dial-a-Ride

Seniors and people with disabilities can get to and from the airport with dial-a-ride service, which runs daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Reservations are required: 602-253-4000 or 602-231-0961.

Statewide Shuttle

There are a number of private bus and shuttle companies that provide transportation to Sky Harbor and other points within Arizona. Service between various cities also is available. Fares and schedules vary from company to company. To make a reservation, contact the provider directly. Airport Shuttles

Sky Harbor runs free shuttle service between the economy parking lots and garages and the terminals, as well as between terminals. Parking lots and buses are color-coordinated so you can easily remember which lot and which bus to use (white or green), and they are well-marked ("Inter-Terminal Bus," for example).

Limousine Services

There are numerous limo services available in the Phoenix area offering door-to-door service. Rates are set according to various zones or distances from the airport and range from $35 to $85 for the first two passengers (additional passengers are $10 per person).
